Dr Richard Bell is a Professor at Murdoch University. He is a specialist in Soil Fertility and Land Management with lecturing and research experience in Australia and around the world. His interests include plant nutrition in problem soils, soil management, management of sandy soils, diagnosis and correction of mineral disorders of plants, plant adaptation to mineral stress, nutrient cycling, rehabilitation of degraded land, conservation agriculture, dryland salinity, and agricultural research for development. He has authored 16 book chapters, 167 refereed journal papers, 75 refereed articles in book and proceedings, 260 conference and other non-refereed papers, and edited 13 books. Much of his published work focuses on the mineral nutrition of crop and plants, management of problem soils and the rehabilitation of degraded land.
